Anderson Salas
Anderson is a Registered Massage Therapist and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner whose approach blends Western medicine with Eastern healing traditions. His therapy journey began with Yoga during his final year of high school. Inspired by his mother, Elizabeth, a Shiatsu Therapist and part of a lineage of “Sobanderas”—traditional folk masseuses and bone setters from Colombia—Anderson developed a unique perspective on healing. In his late teens, he completed a Yoga Teacher Training program, which he credits as the foundation for his educational journey. . Anderson pursued formal health sciences education, earning a Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College, where he gained expertise in physical performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. He later completed an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy at Fleming College, further honing his therapeutic skills. To deepen his knowledge, he studied Manual Osteopathy at the National Academy of Osteopathy, specializing in techniques that promote functional movement and structural alignment. . Anderson’s diverse experience includes providing care for competitive athletes in sports like soccer, hockey, wrestling, and rugby. He has also worked at a Fairmont spa in Jasper, Alberta, offering relaxation-based treatments, and in multidisciplinary clinics, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans. . In his practice, Anderson employs gentle, non-invasive techniques, focusing on myofascial release and postural correction to address chronic pain, injuries, and stress. His goal is to help clients reconnect with their bodies, promoting self-healing and overall well-being. . A Yoga teacher since 2011, Anderson has co-facilitated Yoga Teacher Training programs across Canada. He also leads breathwork and meditation workshops, fostering mind-body connection. With over a decade of involvement in Vipassana meditation retreats, Anderson integrates mindfulness into his holistic approach. His mission is to guide clients toward optimal health through compassionate, multifaceted care.
